Arizona Priority Care is seeking a compassionate, driven, and community-focused Engagement & Events Specialist to help us connect more deeply with the population we serve. This role will play a key part in planning and executing events such as Senior Social Club gatherings, member events, community health fairs, and broker engagements. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in dynamic environments, loves connecting with people, and has a passion for improving the lives of older adults.
This position includes management of developing and maintaining or relationships between AZPC and the insurance broker community.
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
- Plan, coordinate, and execute various events, including Senior Social Clubs, educational sessions, and wellness activities.
- Build and nurture relationships with local community organizations, senior centers, and resource groups.
- Represent AZPC at community events, often serving as the public-facing ambassador.
- Develop event materials in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Manage calendars and budgets for each event and ensure adherence to both.
- Coordinate event invitations and notices through established communication channels.
- Create strategies to generate interest in events and track progress to achieving the event goals (raffles, sponsorships, attendance).
- Track event attendance, feedback, and help measure engagement impact.
- Ensure photographs are taken at all special events.
- Serve as a liaison for AZPC members, offering friendly guidance and education on resources.
- Contribute creative ideas for new event formats, themes, or outreach approaches.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- 2–4 years of experience in event planning, community outreach, or a similar role
- Strong public speaking and interpersonal communication skills
- Empathy and patience when working with senior populations
- Highly organized and comfortable managing logistics for multiple events
- Bilingual English / Spanish a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with event tools or CRMs a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Hybrid, 8-5 schedule, with occasional mornings, evenings or weekends for certain events
*This role requires FT in-office presence for the first 60 days of employment. Hybrid schedule available after initial training period.*
